Noho Hotel is located in Skaleta, about 12 km east of Rethymno on Crete’s north- central coast. Skaleta is a sea side area. The beach of Skaleta has been awarded with the “Blue Flag” certifying its excellent waters. The hotel is also near Chania (72km distance) and Heraklion (65km distance).
The Hotel
Noho Hotel is 100m away from the beach of Skaleta (3 minute walk), while a large swimming pool surrounded by lush greenery and a poolside bar is available for guests. The hotel consists of rooms in the main building, pool bar, restaurant, water park, animation, parking.

Eco friendly practices
Noho Hotel is an environmentally sustainable hotel that has made important environmental improvements to its structure in order to minimize its impact on the natural environment. Our basic aim is to apply the practices of green living. We are also certified by the Green Key Eco Label and Green Leaders Programme with environmentally best practices to conscientious travelers.

- Guests will be encouraged to reuse towels, contributing in saving water, within the hygiene protocols

- We will use eco friendly cleaning products
- We will use refill dispensers with 100% natural and plant based products and not small amenities to supply the rooms in order to reduce plastic
- The hotel uses only solar power technology and is self-sufficient
- We will offer locally produced, eco-friendly food providing the freshest ingredients and with the guarantee of a pollution- free menu.
- We will compost and donate food from our kitchen
Sustainability
Induction and training sessions will make sure that staff is aware of and trained on sustainability practices:
- Recycling (paper, newspapers, glass, batteries, fluorescent and long life bulbs, cans and cartridges)
- Operating a ‘switch off’ policy, turning off computer equipment and printers when not in use
Using local products, made by local farmers, producers, and makers, and avail some of them at the reception for sale
- Avoiding single-use plastic water bottles. Give guests a reusable branded bottle and provide water dispensers around the premises instead.
- Reducing paper use by printing double sided.
- Encouraging guests to explore local attractions using public transport, bicycle or on foot by providing information about path walks, cycle routes, bike hire, bus and tube timetables at Reception. We will provide walking maps to local attractions in our room directories.
- Use of low energy light bulbs in public areas.
- Monitoring energy consumption of gas, electricity and water.

Green policy for our guests
Guests will be engaged in hotel’s sustainable practices. They will be kindly asked to:
- Turn off lights when leaving the room.
- Turn off television when leaving the room.
- Turn off taps when not in use
- Limit the use of air-conditioning or heating and turn it off when a window or door is open to the outside.
- Leave newspapers out of the bins so they can be collected separately by the housekeeping staff.
